The Old English rune poem, written around 700 C.E., has been used for divination for centuries.  These short intriquing verses elucidate the various meanings of the 29 runes.  I have put the poem into modern English while preserving the primal world of forest, sea, fenland, and hearthsides that composed the physical and spiritual environment of our European ancestors.  I also explain the background of the poem, ways to make runes, and sample methods for divination.
